About the Company
Forsvarsmateriell (FMA) / Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) is an agency directly subordinate to the Norwegian Ministry of Defence. Their main task is to procure, manage and retire military materiel for the Norwegian Armed Forces and other agencies in the defence sector.
NDMA is the Department of Defence’s commercial and technical designated procurement and divestment authority. NDMA plans for the future and establishes projects to meet the needs of military defence strategies as well as other defence agencies. Key Responsibilities
The consultant shall plan and follow up on the maintenance of the NH90 material.
The consultant shall perform material control and physical configuration control on the NH90.
The consultant will also be involved in other work related to the disposal of the NH90.
Requirements
The client requires a consultant in the role of Maintenance Planner in connection with the long-term storage and disposal of NH90 material. The client requires a very experienced resource that must be independent, confident and sufficiently competent to single-handedly build up quality and expertise in the field within FMA according to the client’s description of needs, expectations for the consultant, and the tasks involved.
Qualifications
- The consultant shall be security cleared to the level SECRET/NATO SECRET at the time of the assignment’s start.
- The consultant shall have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in aviation.
- (Relevant experience is defined as experience as a technician, engineer, planner, or controller related to airplanes and helicopters.)
- The consultant shall have SAP competence in planning aircraft maintenance.
- (SAP competence means that the consultant should have experience working in SAP.)
- The consultant shall have in-depth knowledge of the NH90 helicopter.
- (In-depth knowledge is defined as work experience as a technician, controller, or planner for a minimum of 3 years.)
- The consultant shall have familiarity with material and configuration control on the NH90.
- The consultant shall be fluent in Norwegian, both spoken and written.
- (The language requirement is necessary due to considerations related to security and available work tools.)
- The consultant should be proficient in English as a working language. (This language requirement is necessary due to considerations related to security and available documentation.)
- The consultant shall start no later than June 1, 2025.
- The consultant should have knowledge of EMAR regulations.

- The consultant should have relevant experience from the defense sector.
- (The duration and relevance related to the scope of delivery will be emphasized.)
- The consultant should have knowledge of EASA regulations.
What the Company Offers
The consultant will be organizationally placed within the Norwegian Defense Materiel, Project and Disposal departments. The consultant shall report directly to the NH90 project manager.
FMA will provide the necessary workspace and equipment for the consultant. The work location will be at Bardufoss Air Station.
Travel associated with the execution of the consultant’s tasks must be expected, primarily to the Norwegian Armed Forces’ bases in Norway.

The assistance shall commence as soon as possible, but no later than June 1, 2025.
Duration of the Assistance:
The assistance will be provided continuously until the client’s projects are completed or the client’s need for the consultant’s assistance.
The contract is valid for 2 years from the contract signing, with an option for the client to extend the agreement for additional two years (1+1).
The maximum duration of the contract is 4 years.
